The Board

Nick Long
Chairman of the Board
Nick (SFS ’11) is an International Economics major from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Despite his Midwestern roots, he has come to accept some aspects of East Coast culture. Even though Minnesota has nicer people, better music (seriously), and cheaper everything, DC does offer improvements in terms of weather and awesome establishments, like Philly’s and Rhino. It’s a trade off. This is Nick’s first position with The Corp, and he hopes to use his outsider perspective to help the organization best serve the campus community. The Corp is pretty much the most amazing student organization in the country, but it can always get better. Nick also serves on the board of the Georgetown University Lecture Fund and teaches SAT prep to local high school students. Thus, you can find him in the back of Gaston Hall or talking geometry strategies with 17 year olds. After graduation he hopes to land a job that allows him to travel the world, but Nick eventually wants to go back to Minnesota and coach his kids’ peewee hockey teams.
Brad Glasser
President and Chief Executive Officer
Brad (COL ‘11) hails from Sixburgh, PA, traditionally known as Pittsburgh. Brad’s Georgetown career and Corp career began simultaneously when he was hired at MUG in the Fall of 2007, so MUG will always hold a unique place in his heart. Last year, Brad became intimately familiar with the DCRA, the Corp’s keys, and the District of Columbia Food Safety Code. Now as CEO, Brad is loving the opportunity to get to know and appreciate every single Corpie and share his Corpassion (see what he did there?) with the world. Like any good ‘Murikan, Brad is American Studies major with minors in French and Theology. If you have any suggestions for post-graduate opportunities with these degrees, please inform Brad and his parents. Thanks. Brad fervently believes that the Beatles are the greatest band in history and that Tupac now resides on a tropical island. Some day Brad hopes to enter the business world only to leave it and join Tupac on that island.

Josh Feller
Chief Operating Officer

Josh (COL ’11) is a Math major who hails from the mean streets of Northwest DC. He is actually from the District; not MD, not VA. He was hired to Uncommon Grounds the summer following his freshmen year, and soon realized that there are few things better than a vanilla chip muffin with an iced coffee. He hopes to one day realize what he wants to do after Georgetown. But while at school, he continues to see every day that love is not extinct.

Spencer Fertig
Chief Financial Officer

Spencer (COL ’11) is an American Studies major from Wayne, NJ. He was hired by Vital Vittles in the Spring of 2008 and promptly made a name for himself in the grocery community as a lover of deep cashier-customer interaction and a hater of all tuna-related products. There are many reasons that he is excited for his tenure as CFO, not least of which is the opportunity to prove that American Studies majors can do math. Like all good New Jerseyans, he frequents the Jersey Shore and only listens to the music of Bruce Springsteen. He’s mastered the fist pump and is still working on how to best beat back the beat. Though Spencer doesn’t play on any club or varsity sports teams, he recently discovered a knack for tetherball on Alternative Spring Break, when he was crowned Most Improved Player during his tutoring stint at Pinecrest Elementary. If you know of any additional outlets where he can continue to pursue this passion of knocking 3rd - 5th graders down a few pegs, please let him know.

Matt Simpson
Business Development Chair

Matt (COL ’12) is majoring in Mathematics and Economics and minoring in Philosophy. He is from Boise, Idaho (pronounced Boicee, not Boizee) where he lives on a potato farm. In addition to being a Corpie, Matt is a TA for Microeconomic Principles and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. As the Business Development Chair, he is working to improve the efficiency of the current services by implementing new and innovative initiatives. Matt’s hobbies include basketball, tennis, chess, and having a good time. And remember, if you french fry when you’re supposed to pizza, you’re gonna have a bad time.

Tom Lipinsky
Philanthropy Chair

Tom (MSB ’11) is a Finance and Management major from Youngstown, Ohio. Youngstown has the distinction of making Forbes magazine’s lists as fastest dying, least likely for economic growth, and most dangerous cities in the United States. This background makes him very excited to serve as the Corp Philanthropy Committee Chair and a Board Member-at-Large. Tom is excited to work with the members of the CPC to support the Georgetown community in becoming the most active and generous campus possible. While at Georgetown, he has served as the President of InterHall, a Blue & Gray Tour Guide, and a judge with the Georgetown Urban Debate League Alliance. His goal for the year is to talk to as many shareholders as possible to understand how they envision The Corp’s mission - “Students Serving Students.”

Margaux McGrath
Community and Service Outreach Chair

Margaux (COL ’12) hails from a northern suburb of sweet home Chicago and is an English major and Spanish minor. Margaux can be found giving a tour to prospective Hoyas, working in the GAAP office in Admissions, or doing an impromptu “show me how you NSO” dance with fellow captains on the lawn. The quickest way to her heart? Buy her a Don Quixote from Midnight and she’s forever yours. Margaux loves Disney World but knows that Georgetown is really the happiest place on Earth. She loves Hoyas and the entire Georgetown community and feels privileged to serve them through The Corp as Community and Service Outreach Chair.
