Service and Outreach
About
Dear Shareholders of the Students of Georgetown, Inc.,
The Corp Service and Outreach Committee (CSOC) is a Corp entity committed to engaging the Corp and all of Georgetown by initiating and facilitating projects that benefit both the campus and greater DC communities. The role of the committee is threefold: Service, Outreach and Advocacy. CSOC will develop service projects that team Corpies with fellow Corp shareholders (all Georgetown students) to make a lasting and positive impact on our school and city. CSOC will reach out to other student organizations and facilitate the initiatives and dialogues of these groups through interest group summits and an ambassador program. It will be a resource for other campus groups interested in collaborating with both the Corp and one another. It will also provide a voice for the student body in lobbying the administration for students’ interests and actively working with GUSA to bring student concerns to the forefront of campus dialog. The Corp was founded in 1972 to protect the rights of Georgetown students and CSOC will be responsible for the fulfillment of this seminal mission. We are committed to the development of the CSOC into a powerfully contributive campus entity, one that can and will bring students closer together through service. Those values define our common Georgetown experience.
Georgetown Love,
