How It Works

It's easy. Here's your checklist:

  1.  Purchase a contract at www.corpstorage.org beginning in April 2010.
  2.  During the contract process, select a time slot for your boxes to be picked up during a dorm sweep (times are listed below). If your location is not an option, select the drop-off option and drop your items off at our local, on-campus location in Bulldog Alley in the Leavey Center from May 6th-11th , 10 am - 4 pm and May 12th-15th 10 am - 6 pm.
  3. Pick up your empty boxes and contract folder at our local, on-campus locations in Bulldog Alley and McShain Lounge from May 6th-11th , 10 am - 4 pm and May 12th-15th 10 am - 6 pm.
  4.  Pack your stuff, sealing boxes with the tape we provide. Place your unique order number (or numbers if you placed more than one order), last name and the provided stickers on all sides of the item being stored. Please reference the packing tips included in your contract folder. All refrigerators must be emptied and defrosted or they will not be accepted.
  5. Have your boxes picked up during your scheduled dorm sweep or drop them off at our local, on-campus location in Bulldog Alley or McShain Lounge from May 6th-11th , 10 am - 4 pm and May 12th-15th 10 am - 6 pm, or behind St. Mary's Hall on May 10th, 2th, and 14th from 10am - 4pm.
  6.  Your items will be carefully handled and securely stored in a climate controlled facility for the duration of your storage contract.
  7. Summer storage boxes will be available for you to pickup in late August 2010. Early pick-up is August 23 from 1pm to 6pm and August 24 from 10am to 6pm. Regular pick up will be August 29-31 from 10am to 6pm. Box Pickup will take place on Harbin Patio.
  8. Fall Study Abroad storage boxes will be available for you to pickup in January 2011.
  9. Year-Long Study Abroad storage boxes will be available for pickup in late August of 2011.

Have questions? Here are some of the most common:

Q. I don’t live in one of the areas offering free pickup, can I still get my boxes picked up?
A.
No. Items may be dropped off at our local, on-campus locations in Bulldog Alley and McShain Lounge from May 6th-11th , 10 am - 4 pm and May 12th-15th 10 am - 6 pm, and behind St. Mary's Hall on May 10th, 12th, and 14th from 10am to 4pm.

A: Sure! You can purchase small boxes for $2, large boxes for $3, and packing tape for $2 in McShain Lounge and Bulldog Alley from May 6th to May 15th.

Q. What number should be placed on the side of my boxes?

A. The Order number that you received in your order confirmation should be placed on the sides of all your boxes. Corp Storage reserves the right to refuse all boxes that are not correctly labeled.

Q. If I am studying abroad, do I need to pay for both summer and study abroad storage?

A: No, the listed prices are cumulative. If you are studying abroad in the fall or entire year, you only pay for the Fall Study Abroad of Year-Long Storage prices, and summer storage is included.

A. We only accept online credit card payments.

Q. I've been having trouble placing an order and now my credit card seems to have been charged more than once, what should I do?

A. The simple answer is "wait." Almost all superfluous charges are due to a earlier declined transaction. They should clear up within 5 days. If the charge still persists after that time, do not hesitate to contact us.

Q. How does a "Dorm Sweep" work?

A. During a dorm sweep, Corp Storage Employees will pick up all items listed to be picked up at the pre-selected time for a given dorm. Customers should be in their rooms for the time period that they selected when they purchased their contract, online. At this time, all fridges should be completely defrosted and all items should be marked with last name and contract number. The stickers provided when the customer picked up his/her contract folder and boxes should be placed on four sides of the item.

Q. When is the last time I can purchase a contract?
A. Contracts can be purchased until mid-day on May 14th and all boxes must be dropped off by 6pm on May 15th.

Q. I've already purchased a storage contract, but I need to add more items, what should I do?
A. If you would like to store more items, simply fill a new order.

Q. What is a NonCorp Box?
A. A 'noncorp' box can include any cardboard box, plastic bin, trunk or piece of luggage. The Corp cannot store furniture, bicycles or pets; Or humans, for that matter.

Q. What are the weight limits for boxes?

A. Small Box: 50 lbs. Large Box: 55lbs NonCorp Box: 70 lbs. Upon item pickup, a $2 overweight fee will be assessed for each pound that the item is overweight.

Q. How much does the early pickup option cost?
