This webpage is your ultimate guide to applying for the Spring 2025 hiring cycle. This spring, our application officially opens on January 2nd and closes on January 17th.

This will be our last spring hiring cycle—from now on, we will only be hiring at the start of every fall semester.

Additionally, there is a change for applicants for this Spring 2025 application cycle. Please read carefully:

All applicants are only allowed to apply to a maximum of three of the following services (Hoya Snaxa, Midnight Mug, More Uncommon Grounds (MUG), The Hilltoss Cafe, Uncommon Grounds (UG), and Vital Vittles) but can apply to as many of the following services they wish: (Accounting, Corp Catering, Corp IT, and Marketing).

What does this mean?

  1. The maximum number of services an applicant can apply to is 7. You cannot apply to all 10 services.

  2. If you are already applying to three coffee/convenience locations, you can, in addition to those, also apply to as many non-coffee/convenience locations as you wish.

  3. For example: If you wish to apply to 3 of the coffee/convenience locations and also want to apply to Corp Catering and Corp IT, you are welcome to do so.

More details will be posted on this page shortly! Hang tight in the meantime...

  • Can I apply to multiple services?

  • Which Corp service should I apply to?
You should apply to whatever service you’d like. Each service is different, from their operations to their store culture. Come to our outreach events to meet people from each service and see where you might want to end up! If you’re interested in choosing what snacks our convenience stores sell, apply to Hoya Snaxa or Vital Vittles! If you’re interested in learning how to make latte art, check out our coffee services, Uncommon Grounds, More Uncommon Grounds, The Hilltoss Cafe, or Midnight MUG. If you’re interested in making food for our hungry customers, consider Corp Catering or The Hilltoss Cafe! If you’re interested in learning how to run the internal operations of a small business, take a look at our Accounting, Marketing, or IT departments.
  • What pre-professional experience does The Corp offer?
In a nutshell, we are a student-run business, so regardless of which service you end up at, you can quickly learn how to run your own business within The Corp! If you’re looking to gain specialized business knowledge and experience, we strongly recommend applying to our Marketing, IT, and Accounting departments. If you’re looking to build upon your entrepreneurial skills, any of our coffee shops, convenience stores, and Catering offer a unique perspective on how to run a small business. Once you’re in The Corp, you can apply for leadership positions and gain exposure to real-world business experiences such as HR (also known within The Corp as "POps" or People Operations), data analytics, management, philanthropy, customer service, distribution, financial, and other related skills!
  • If I get hired at a convenience store, does that mean I can never work at a coffee shop?
No! After your first semester at The Corp, you will have the option to “crossover” (aka take a shift) at another service of your choice, and you will be trained in that service’s operations. That is to say, if you were hired at Hoya Snaxa, you will still be able to work in Corp Catering if you wish to!
  • What is The Corp?
Students of Georgetown, Inc., commonly known as “The Corp”, is a public, non-profit, and charitable organization at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. We consist of eleven services—6 storefronts, 1 catering service, and 4 internal departments— generating annual revenues in excess of $4 million. Only undergraduate students of Georgetown University work as employees or sit as members of The Corp’s Board of Directors, distinguishing business operations at The Corp from other student-run companies.
  • Does The Corp pay?
Yes! The Corp pays a wage of $17.50 an hour, consistent with D.C. minimum wage. The Corp also offers federal work study benefits.
  • Does The Corp take work-study awards?
Yes! You can apply your work-study award to The Corp, which has the bonus of that, even if you work beyond your work-study award, you can still continue to work at The Corp. You are not restricted by the amount of your work-study award like many other work-study jobs on campus.
  • Does my class year matter?
We will not accept applications for anyone graduating in 2025 or from exchange students. All remaining class years are welcome to apply. Just note that our services are trying to keep our class sizes equal, so we recommend applying to multiple services if you are an upperclassmen.
  • How is my application being evaluated?
We will be evaluating applications based on the 5 Corp Values: Caring, Team Player, Authentic Initiative, Work Ethic, Open-mindedness
  • What is the application process like?
The first step is to fill out the written application and submit it by January 17th at 11:59pm. For the written application, you will need to briefly respond to 4 questions and respond to 1 question per service you wish to apply to. After you submit your application, you will be notified as to whether you received an interview. If you received an interview, you will then interview with us a few days later. Please note that applicants for the Marketing Department will also be expected to produce a Marketing-specific deliverable for their interview. After your interview, you will learn of whether you were hired in the next few days.
